Dandelion Tea

from Danny Laycock by Danny Laycock

/

lyrics

Every single day, the morning sky brings a new light
and as the children play, the teacher smiles, it's all worthwhile-
away past Town, A sign of rain, the cows lie down
around the lane, simple folk work hard for little gain

Every sunny noon, the Town is beset by it's share of loons
but isn't it the way? What's the Earth without little quirks
and oddities? The sound of the Sea or the wealth of Trees
that cover the land. Abused by Man, to fill our petty demands

Dandelion Tea gets the best of me,
Dandelion Tea gets the best of me

When you grow up and you find most your friends are long gone
Will you still feel like you need them to carry on?
I hope that you see through your fears and your tears and move on

Later after Tea, the Sun goes down on a little Town
and as the warmth dies away. The silly ones come out to play
away their lives. Hang around to bring others down
around the bend, the rain is pouring. The Town is calling for the Summer

Dandelion Tea gets the best of me,
Dandelion Tea gets the best of me
